Anything that can be said about the last week has been said before, so I won't add much more to the proceedings. Next week, we'll pick up where we left off with some harmless trifle. That all being said, I find myself thinking more and more about Odo, the shape-shifting security chief from "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine." I think we should all yearn to be more like Odo. Consider:
•If you're not flexible enough to fit into a bucket, you could still be a bit more flexible.
•Your people may be incomprehensible at times. Still, they are your people.
•I've been searching for a quote from the character all night where he extolled the virtues of being different than the people around you. I haven't found it, but it's also a good lesson.
•And, finally: "Laws change depending on who's making them. Cardassisn one day, Federation the next. But justice is justice."
Let's be like Odo.
See everybody next week.
